About Silver DCA Calculator
Silver DCA Calculator is a free tool for physical silver investors. It works out your blended average cost per troy ounce across every purchase, then tracks what your stack is worth — and whether you are in profit — at the live spot price.
Why it exists
Anyone who buys silver more than once quickly loses track of the one number that matters: what their ounces actually cost on average. Purchases happen at different spot prices, with different dealer premiums, in different months. A spreadsheet can track it, but most people stop updating the spreadsheet. This calculator exists so the maths takes seconds instead of an evening — enter what you hold and what you paid, add a planned purchase, and see your new average instantly.
What it does
- DCA calculator. Blends your current stack and a new purchase into one updated average cost per ounce, with before and after portfolio values.
- Live spot price. A live XAG/USD feed that refreshes every 60 seconds, with conversion into USD, CAD, EUR, and GBP.
- Portfolio tracker. Your purchases and profit or loss at live spot — stored only in your own browser's local storage. Nothing is uploaded, ever.
- Charts and news. A professional price chart and a headlines feed for silver market news.
- This blog. Plain language guides to the method behind the numbers — how dollar cost averaging works, how premiums affect your average, and how to track a stack without a spreadsheet — every Tuesday and Friday.
Privacy first, by design
There are no accounts and no sign up. Your portfolio data lives in your browser on your device and is never sent to a server. The tool also works as an installable web app with offline support.
Who makes it
Silver DCA Calculator is designed and maintained by Dark Haus Studio. The site provides general information and calculation tools only — it is not financial advice, and it never tells you what to buy. Silver prices move both ways; do your own research before any purchase.
